2025년 사단법인 한중패션산학협회 회장을 맡게 된
KODO 아트컴퍼니 고도경 대표입니다.
우리 협회는 중국 패션 산업의 가능성과 잠재력을 일찍이 알아보신 선배님들께서 설립하신지 어느덧 25년이 넘었습니다. 2018년에는 오랜 숙원이었던 사단법인화를 문화체육관광부로부터 승인받아, 명실공히 공인된 단체로 우뚝 서게 되었습니다.
패션은 단순한 의류를 넘어 문화와 예술, 그리고 산업의 결합체로서 한 나라의 정체성과 창의성을 세계에 알리는 중요한 매개체입니다. 오늘날 한국 패션과 K-컬처가 전 세계로 뻗어나가는 시점에서, 한중 양국의 패션·문화 교류는 더욱 깊이 있고 전략적으로 이루어져야 합니다. 협회는 학계와 산업계를 연결하는 가교 역할을 통해 새로운 트렌드를 선도하고, 양국이 함께 성장할 수 있는 협력 모델을 만들어 가고자 합니다.
회장직을 다시 맡게 되어 한층 더 큰 책임감을 느낍니다. 미력하나마 열정과 성심을 다해 한중 패션 산업과 문화의 상생 발전을 위해 힘쓰겠습니다. 앞으로도 협회가 더 크게 성장하고 시대에 맞는 비전을 실현해 나갈 수 있도록 많은 격려와 성원을 부탁드립니다.
마지막으로, 한중패션산학협회와 함께하는 모든 선배님과 회원 여러분의 건강과 무궁한 발전을 진심으로 기원하며 인사에 갈음합니다.

I am Dokyung Ko, CEO of Kodo Art Company and it is my honor to serve as President of The Korea & China Association of Fashion Industry - Academy in 2025.
Our Association was founded more than 25 years ago by visionary predecessors who recognized early on the potential and promise of China’s fashion industry. In 2018, we achieved a long-cherished goal when the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism granted us official non-profit foundation, establishing us as a recognized and reputable organization.
Fashion is far more than clothing; it is a fusion of culture, art, and industry, and a vital medium through which a nation’s identity and creativity are introduced to the world. As Korean fashion and K-culture continue to expand globally, fashion and cultural exchange between Korea and China must become deeper and more strategic. By acting as a bridge between academia and industry, our Association strives to lead new trends and to create cooperative models through which both countries can grow together.
As I take on the presidency once again, I feel a renewed sense of responsibility. With dedication and sincerity, I will do my utmost to contribute to the mutual development of the Korean and Chinese fashion industries and cultures. I sincerely ask for your continued encouragement and support so that our Association may grow further and realize a vision suited to the times.

ABOUT
한중패션산학협회는 한국과 중국 간의 협력 관계와 패션산업발전을 위하여 1997년 설립된 학술단체로서 결성된 이래 지난 한·중간의 복식전반에 걸친 새로운 학문연구 및 패션산업관련 학계, 업계 공동으로 연구, 조사 활동을 하며 패션인재육성 및 한국과 중국 패션산업의 발전과 세계화에 기여함을 목적으로 설립하게 되었습니다.
본 협회는 회원 상호간의 원활하고 신속한 정보교환 및 교류를 위하여 전국 대학 및 산업체를 중심으로 각각의 지역구에서 회원들을 관리하는 유기적인 통합구축 시스템으로 운영되고 있습니다. 이러한 시스템을 통하여 한.중 패션산학협회의 학술교류의 활성화를 도모하고자 합니다.
초기, 연구회로 시작하였고 한국과 중국의 복식 관련 학술적인 연구에 중점을 두었습니다. 2005년부터는 그 폭을 넓혀 무한, 북경, 대련, 우시, 사천성 등 중국 및 한국에서 국제의상전 및 국제학술대회를 개최하여 회원들 간의 친목을 다지며 한국과 중국 간 교류의 장을 만들어왔습니다. 2009년 그 명칭을 협회로 바꾸면서 한국복식, 중국복식, 패션디자인, 패션마케팅 등 다양한 패션산업분야에 패션전반에 걸친 학문적 연구 및 교류와 새로운 연구 동향을 발표하고 학문적 정보를 교환함으로써 패션산업전반의 연구를 진흥시키고 국제회원 상호간의 친목을 도모하며 연구의 깊이를 더해가고 있습니다. 이후 지속적으로 한국, 중국, 일본, 미국, 영국, 홍콩, 싱가포르, 태국, 몽골 등의 연구자들이 함께 참여하여 수준 높은 국제학술대회를 개최하였고 국제학술논문집을 발간하였습니다.
본 협회는 앞으로도 타 학회, 연구기관과의 유대를 강화하고 산학협동체제를 강화하며 중국과 한국 패션 산․학계의 상호교류 및 문화발전을 위해 노력할 것입니다.

The Korea & China Association of Fashion Industry - Academy was established in 1997 as an academic organization dedicated to promoting cooperation between Korea and China and advancing the fashion industry. Since its founding, the Association has engaged in new academic research on fashion across both countries, as well as joint studies and surveys by scholars and professionals in the fashion industry. It was created with the aim of fostering fashion talent and contributing to the development and globalization of the fashion industries of Korea and China.
To ensure smooth and timely communication and exchange of information among members, the Association operates an integrated, organic management system centered on universities and industrial organizations nationwide, with regional representatives overseeing members in their respective areas. Through this system, the Association seeks to invigorate academic exchange between Korea and China.
Initially launched as a research society focusing on scholarly studies of Fashion in Korea and China, the Association broadened its scope in 2005, hosting international fashion exhibitions and academic conferences in Wuhan, Beijing, Dalian, Wuxi, Sichuan, and other cities in China as well as in Korea. These events have fostered friendship among members and created a platform for exchange between the two countries. In 2009, it adopted its current name, and since then has expanded its academic research and exchanges to encompass diverse fields of the fashion industry—including Korean and Chinese traditional clothing, fashion design, and fashion marketing—by presenting new research trends, sharing scholarly information, promoting research throughout the fashion industry, and strengthening camaraderie among international members.
In subsequent years, researchers from Korea, China, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Mongolia, and other countries have participated in high-level international academic conferences organized by the Association, which has also published international academic journals.
Going forward, the Association will continue to strengthen its ties with other academic societies and research institutions, reinforce cooperation between industry and academy, and devote its efforts to enhancing mutual exchange and cultural development between the fashion industries and academic communities of Korea and China.
